A dish with 4 of the most common, and yet delicious, ingredients: Potatoes, aubergines (eggplants), mushrooms and bacon. It is simple and it goes well with red meat
Ciao everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Here in Amsterdam the wind made the last few days fairly eventful. Saturday the temperature brought us back to Autumn time for a few hours. It rained practically all day and the colour of the sky was pretty much grey all the time. What made the day extraordinary was the wind, it was mad. A few trees on the canals fell down and my colleague had one that decided to collapse on the windows of his bedroom. No one was hurt, but the mess left behind was enough to keep someone busy for a few days.
Sunday when we woke up, there were hundreds of branches on the streets and in the canals. It was quite a scene
Saturday, most people decided to stay at home and that also exactly what we did. And we loved it. It was very cozy. We played our favorite artist, whose name must remain secret. It’s our guilty pleasure
With the best soundtrack on, we spent the whole day cooking, singing and dancing between steps. The weather inspired us with a more wintery selection. In fact it looks as if quite a few bloggers around have switched already. It’s like fashion, always need to be ahead of the game.
If you shop around now, the stores are filled with winter clothes already and it won’t be long until the Christmas decorations will appear. I am looking forward to seeing who is going to be the one making the very first Christmas-themed dish.
We had some meat left over from last night so we made a side dish to go with it. Only an handful of ingredients and it had a great balanced flavor
